2015 – Now
From 2015 the new management proudly still continues the tradition of the restaurant with the renewed ideas of Asimina Tapsas, daughter of the original owners.
She changed the menu adding new traditional and handmade recipes and even vegetarian and vegan recipes for every taste need. Also, she proceeded with all the necessary actions for the renovation of the space. The restaurant has now a new relaxing and island aura in decoration where you can feel the sea and the serenity of our place.
Since 2015 there is a bar with special cocktails, drinks and variety of local wines for night fun and relax.
1987
Zorbas Restaurant was opened in 1987 from the Family Tapsas in Lassi of Kefalonia. It is located 100 meters from Makris Gyalos, the most famous beach with blue flag and next to SUPER MARKET MINA (a shopping centre with everything you can need). It was created with love and passion for the traditional Greek cuisine in a cosy and bright environment with endless view of nature.
The restaurant was visited by a big amount of people from countries of the whole earth. All adored the variety and the quality of foods with the fresh ingredients and even more the unique delicious recipes from the chefs.
Then it was the first restaurant in Kefalonia with big Greek Live Music & Dance Nights for all tourists and residents. Plenty of fun, dance and song every night. Dancing with two tables in dancer’s teeth or dancing barefoot in the fire. Also, there was the famous traditional dancing with breaking plates. It was a phenomenal success and it is until now!
Every season we select the best local and fresh ingredients from local sellers. All the vegetables, fruits, meat and fish are of high quality that is our first priority for our customers.
There is courtyard area, a playground for the children and a lot of space for free parking.
